I'm not going to be the best to rate this facility. The staff are all very friendly and helpful for the most part. They treat visitors much more professionally and with respect, unlike most of the facilities I have been to that treat visitors like they are prisoners as well.
I'm disappointed with the policies and procedures , esspecially pertaining to the visiting days,times, time frames ,and the fact that this is a facility that is housing a cognitive/ drug rehabilitation/treatment center that is supposed to be designed as a healing and therapy program and rehab yet there is no offer of family/ couples therapy sessions. Visits are one hour one day a week. That is only if you can get in the gates to the visit room. I say this because when you arrive at the first gate ,if your prisoner did not warn you, you may be in for quite a surprise . If you are not a licensed driver or do not have a current picture driver's license or not in a legal,up to date with all proof in the car with a licensed driver you will not get your visit. I do not have a car or license and many mornings I have been in the humbling experience of standing by the gate with my state I'd, praying someone will be kind enough to allow me to ride up with them. So far I have met only the kindess ,most generous and thoughtful people who were all more than happy to let me car pool with them. WCCC has 2 hor visits and in treatment visitors can visit both Saturday and Sunday. Also when the visit is over family members may stay for family therapy which is very important in the recovery process and I don't know if they ever tried or even suggest any of these to any one , but it something all involved would benefit from!
The grounds that surround the facility are beautiful,peaceful& serene . Perfect setting for men in need of total life change. I've seen wild baby pigs crossing the road that takes you to the facility. Also I saw a white owl fly right over the car I was in one weekend.i I am a lover of animals and nature so I enjoyed the way I got to see these creatures that are not everyday sightings.
