Great people that seem to care a great deal for the pets they take care of. One negative is boarding. They do not charge for 24 hours but days which routinely cost one additional day charges for each boarding we do. Example. Drop off pet in the afternoon on Friday and pick up in the late morning of Sunday. They charge for Friday, Saturday and Sunday when the pet is only there for two days. This policy is costly to customers, however convenient it may be for the bookkeeping on their side. Other than that, great place to have your pets cared for.
The staff is very friendly, unfortunately I feel like they only want my money. My dog has been regurgitating water after he drinks. No weird unusual behavior after, still super energetic and happy. The other night though he had started actually puking, but he must of just ate something bad because after that night he was back to just regurgitating water. I went in the next day after he puked because I was concerned. They told me It would be best to do a poop sample and x-rays then a shot to help with the puking. If the x-rays didn't show anything then an ultrasound. I did the X-rays THEN they say they couldn't tell if anything was wrong because he had food in his stomach. I TOLD THEM before X-rays he ate. I was not told he had to have an empty stomach for 24hrs before x-rays. I was told I had to come back the next day to take more X-rays with his empty stomach. So I did that, but I was made very clear by the doctor I would only pay 1 fee of 89. Two times I was told just one fee of $89. Little did I know she failed to mention it would be 2 X-rays, so 2 charges of $89. When I went the next day to take more X-rays my dog still had something in his stomach after 24hrs. I was told it's probably still food and that I need to do an ultrasound which is like$400, surgery which is $2,000 (not to mention the doctor told me there's a possibility he may only have food in there. AKA I would be wasting $2,000)or do an over night stay to monitor him and do MORE X-rays which was $500. I had asked at his first appointment should I just do the ultrasound thinking doing X-rays then having to do an Ultrasound anyways would be super expensive and they said we should do X-rays then send it to a professional to look at them, which was ANOTHER $60. On top off all the money I've already spent on X-rays, poop sample, visit fee, and a shot to help the puking. I still don't know any potential reasons on what could be wrong with my dog. I understand what he has wrong is going to be a lot of trial and error, but they could of suggesting lower priced tests before anything. I really hope people take the time to read this. They will take advantage of you. Please understand I do not leave reviews, but I'm so hurt that my puppy is still sick and they are sucking me dry.
We have two senior dogs and one has developed several issues in his advanced years. The doctors here take excellent care of him every time we come in and give us great feedback and instructions on how to care of him at home. The front desk gals are great too!
We've been coming to this vet for years. Dr. Hisanaga and his staff are amazing. They are caring and professional. My
DOCTORS are nice but this pet hospital is not very professional about their business hours. I have a prescription to pick up and although their hours are posted that they close at 8pm on Saturdays. I called them to check (just in case) and the receptionist says that they had a staff meeting at 3pm and somehow that affects the rest of their 5 hours of business. So they close at 3pm with no warning on their website.
