It's a blessing for us to have the option of attending an evening service. My husband is in ministry at CCK for Sunday services so this opens up a way for he and I to worship together, be together, encouraged through hearing God's Word.

If you are looking for a place to go and listen to sermon this place will work. It is, however, a closed community church. Pastor Derald is a dynamic speaker and will keep you entertained.
When I informed the staff that we were going to move on they said goodbye and that was it. No what happened or why are you leaving, just goodbye.
Pastor Derald is a powerful and charismatic preacher, and we greatly enjoyed his sermons. The teaching overall is Biblical and in-depth. This church doesn't lack in teaching.
Sad to say that after a year of attending and many attempts to participate socially and through volunteering, we never felt accepted at this church. The people are very nice, but for us, it was superficial kindness.
My family and I spent over a year here trying to make connections and made zero. It was not for lack of trying. My wife tried a couple times to volunteer with one of the senior pastors and was never approached by him. She is, btw, a professional A/V technician. She has been doing it for several years. I volunteered and served teaching Sunday school and watching children.

The kid's programs are safe and clean, and well run. My children were comfortable there, and were getting sound teaching and play.
We need only look up - take a breath and say "Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus Come."
The music is ok; it is led by the same worship leader every week who is musically talented, but not very passionate or charismatic. Even so, it's one of the better worship ministry teams in the area (definitely beats the weekly light/sound/fog/earplug concerts at other local churches).
Ultimately, this is a personality-driven church and lacks Biblically-sound management. They are great at marketing, but the depth is lacking. We are sad about it, but can no longer ignore the lack of community. Or at least a community we are welcomed to join.
Pastor Darrell Skinner shared a wonderful sermon in the book of Peter; with highlights of how a man leads his family in the home and how we are all to submit to each other with loving kindness.
We tried to start a small group associated with the church made up of existing members and was told that it would be a risky liability for the church. On the same day I was told this, I was released from volunteering for the church. It appeared to us that we were being shunned. I had a senior member tell me I needed more grace and for that reason it would be better for the church and I not to work together any longer. I had said hello to one of the church leaders and was ignored. Normally I would dismiss this as a hello lost in a crowd just that we were the only ones standing at the entrance to the building. At this point, no help was offered by any of the staff.
